I started as an Android engineer building healthcare software. HIPAA will make you paranoid about data handling, which turned out to be a useful trait.

Since then I've gone from writing code to running teams. I've hired and scaled engineering groups across iOS, Android, web, and backend. I've also been the person writing the job posts, setting up onboarding, and figuring out why standups keep going sideways.

These days I lead fullstack teams on complex distributed systems. I like the messy coordination problems most, like getting international vendors on the same page or keeping engineers unblocked so they can actually write code.
